A Letter from the Chief

Hello, Orange County community!

It has been an honor and a privilege to serve the citizens of the New Hope Fire District since 2008. I joined as a junior in high school and was appointed Fire Chief in 2019 after serving as the Training Captain for several years. New Hope Fire Department is made up of four full-time employees, twenty part-time employees, and twenty-five volunteers. We staff our Station 1 with three paid employees 24 hours a day, and volunteers supplement the staffing by staying at the station with the paid staff or responding to calls from home. These members are responsible for responding to approximately 700 incidents per year, including medical emergencies, fires, rescues, and more, as well as spending a significant amount of time training and bettering themselves. Our organization is an incredibly diverse place, working towards a common goal, and we look forward to continuing to grow to better serve our citizens.
